Jan 2, 2026

57-year-old computer scientist Michael Harkort had informed the supervisory board of msg for banking that he would not be renewing his contract for personal and health reasons and would be leaving the executive board at the end of 2025.

The new board member comes from within the company.

Harkort's successor will be Christoph Prellwitz, who is no stranger to msg for banking. Prior to his appointment to the board, the 55-year-old computer scientist has held various management positions within the company since 2011, most recently as Head of Digital Transformation, member of the Executive Board and CTO. As a member of the Executive Board, Prellwitz will be responsible for the newly created Banking Digital Services division.

"I am taking on this role with the utmost respect and look forward to being able to play an even more proactive role in shaping the success of msg for banking in my new position," said Christoph Prellwitz.

CEO Dr Frank Schlottmann congratulated Christoph Prellwitz on his new role and emphasised: "msg for banking has numerous outstanding managers who are important cornerstones of our company's success. I am delighted that Christoph Prellwitz, another experienced manager from our own ranks, is joining the Executive Board."

The Executive Board and Supervisory Board of msg for banking expressed their sincere thanks to Michael Harkort for his outstanding work over the past years and for his consistently trusting cooperation, and wished him all the best for the future.
