Regulatory Monitoring

Recognize, evaluate, implement... (processes, instructions, applications)

Implementing new regulatory requirements individually and efficiently

New regulatory requirements should not be viewed in isolation, but rather affect a whole range of departments, processes, and applications. With our combined technical, process, and data expertise, we support you in efficiently evaluating and implementing these requirements for your company. We see ourselves as a reliable partner to both the 2nd line of defense (compliance & risk) and the 1st line of defense (specialist departments).

Implementation

Our services and topics in the area of regulatory monitoring

  • New regulatory requirements must not be overlooked and must be assessed quickly by the bank.
  • Implementing relevant requirements requires a great deal of experience and sound judgment.
  • However, the interaction between the compliance function (2nd LoD) and the specialist departments (1st LoD) is often not yet optimally structured.

  • We support you with legal screening as well as with the evaluation and implementation of new requirements.
  • In doing so, we take your business model, organization, and culture into account.
  • Together, we efficiently adapt processes, data, controls, and work instructions and, thanks to our project experience, ensure audit-proof implementation in the ICS.

  • Supporting the compliance function of an international bank in relocating its business and relevant processes from London to Frankfurt
  • Supporting a private bank in compliance monitoring (identifying new regulatory requirements and evaluating them with the specialist departments).
  • Supporting the compliance function of a foreign bank in its day-to-day business.

Compliance monitoring - a standardized process with our customers, tailored and personalized

  • Comprehensive and detailed analysis and documentation of your business model and the risk profile of the bank:
    • Transactions
    • Customer groups
    • Derivatives (type, extent)
    • Trading book (yes/no)
    • IRBA user (yes/no)
    • Risk concentrations
    • IT landscape
    • Reporting
    • etc.
  • This individual analysis is coordinated with you, documented, and adjusted if necessary.

  • We continuously monitor publications by supervisory authorities.
  • Based on the initial assessment, we preselect relevant publications and review them for materiality.
  • Publications that are not classified as relevant are documented and evaluated in a compact and conclusive manner during regular on-site meetings.

  • Once a month, you will receive your personalized newsletter with a structured summary of relevant publications.
  • You can determine the focus yourself (e.g., reporting, risk management, AML).
  • Every two to three months, you will receive an update from our monitoring database, which classifies all publications according to relevance, criticality, and department. The database can also be used for internal control and tracking.

  • Every two to three months, we also offer you the opportunity to engage in a personal professional exchange in a larger group (e.g., compliance committee).
  • We present the most important publications in detail and explain professional, procedural, and technical challenges. Even publications that are initially deemed irrelevant are discussed in a concise manner and evaluated at the end.
  • All results are documented in a structured manner.

Ad hoc service: Particularly important publications are forwarded to you immediately.
