Mentoring programme by women for women

With our internal mentoring programme By Women for Women, we support female colleagues as they start their careers, plan their professional paths or develop their careers as managers. It's a win-win situation: mentees benefit from knowledge transfer based on trust, communication and the exchange of ideas. Mentors gain fresh insights into their subject areas and/or the processes and working methods of other departments.

What is still a rarity in the management of German companies is a reality at msg for banking: the leadership duo. Two colleagues share the management of a department and draw a thoroughly positive conclusion. In this interview, they explain what it looks like in practice when two colleagues share a management position, how they make their decisions, divide up their areas of responsibility and how the team members react.

Women's network

Our internal women's network is committed to equal representation of women and men in the workplace, particularly in management positions and senior specialist careers. We motivate, support and encourage women to make themselves more visible and heard, and raise awareness of our vision among our colleagues. By sharing our knowledge and experiences, we generate significant added value for everyone and contribute to the success of the company. To this end, we meet several times a year, both online and in person.

Girl's Day – we're in!

We have been participating in Girls' Day – the Future Day for Girls – for many years, supporting schoolgirls in exploring career and study options free from stereotypes. Under the motto Fun and games in IT, our trainees prepare an exciting programme every year and show the girls first-hand how exciting and diverse careers in IT can be.

Internal survey: Equality and equal opportunities at msg for banking

In September 2021, msg for banking employees had the opportunity to participate in a survey on the topic of equality and equal opportunities in the company. Of a total of 603 employees, 267 gave their opinion, including 93 women and 158 men. This resulted in a very encouraging participation rate of 44.28% – 60% of whom were men and 35% women. This shows that the topic is relevant and attracts interest. And the results are having an impact. Management has derived and implemented qualified measures based on the survey results.
